Reward and Cashback structure
The Reward and Cashback structure of Standard Chartered Ultimate Credit Card are as below:
- 5 Reward Points per Rs 150 spend (The makes the effective return rate of 3.3%)
- 5% cashback on duty-free spends in Airports.
- You get reward points on the SC Ultimate credit card even if the transaction value is less than Rs 150. You get the proportional reward in such cases. For example, if you spend Rs 90, you get 3 reward points.
- Another good thing about this card is that you get reward points, even for wallet reloads and insurance premium payments. Which makes this card stand out from others a bit.
- No upper caps on rewards
Review: 3.3% return rate is good. Also 5% cashback on duty free airport shopping is good as well. But not many people like to shop at airport. But if you are one of them who travels a lot and shops at airport duty-free shops, then this card can be beneficial for you. Partial reward points and rewards on insurance payment would help to get some more rewards compared to other cards.
Complimentary Airport Lounge Access
The Standard Chartered Ultimate Credit Card offers 1 Complimentary Airport Lounge Access per month but there is a condition. You get this offer only if you spend more than Rs 20,000 in the previous month using the card.
Review: This is a negative point on the card. A premium card must have Airport Lounge access for free, without any type of condition. This makes this card fall behind compared to other premium cards.
Golf Program
- 1 complimentary Golf games per month
- 1 complimentary coaching session per month
Review: The Golf Program looks good and the facility of coaching sessions is an eye catching benefit.

Conclusion
The Standard Chartered Ultimate credit card has modified its benefits recently. The above said benefits are the new benefits that it provides. But if we compare it with the old benefits, then it looks less attractive compared to the old benefits. Earlier there were much more offers, which has been reduced in the latest reward structure.
Hence, considering this card as a premium card, its benefits are not that worthy compared to the other premium cards available in the market. But if you are one who loves to play Golf and do a lot of airport shopping then you can consider this card. On the other hand, the reward rate of 3.3% is and the partial reward points benefit with no exclusions, does makes this card a bit good.
